Linux Web Server

So I came up with the idea I wanted to install a Web File Sharing server. Read a lot of articles, some referenced FTP servers, some referenced Web Servers, but I only found one piece of software that did exactly what I wanted it to do. Firefox Crawler PDF Print E-mail

So My mother Laura called me about a month ago (yeah this is a bit late) and said something about a Firefox Crawler add-on that she could not get rid of. Apparently somebody clicked a link and it got installed. What it showed was one of those toolbars with the smileys and cursors on them, but it did not show up under anything in Firefox.

She asked me if I knew how to get rid of it, and the only thing I could think of was trying to login with the Administrator account.

Firefox Crawler does not show up under Firefox Plug-Ins or Tool-Bars. Instead it shows up as an actual application like many Tool-Bars do for Internet Explorer. You have to log in to the Administrator account (see my article about the admin account in vista) and uninstall it using Add-Remove Programs.

Once again people, do not click links or install programs/toolbars on your computer without being absolutely sure you know what they are!
